BS OHSAS 18001

As part of our full safety compliance and risk management strategy, Niramax are now fully accredited to BS OHSAS 18001 since March 2010 which is an internationally recognised standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems ensuring a safe working enviroment.

Designed to be compatible with ISO 14001, by adopting BS OHSAS 18001 it means we:

• Plan for hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
• Follow a OHSAS management programme
• Have recognised structures and responsibilities in place
• Carry out regular training to make sure that our employees and contractors are fully aware and competent in all relevant health and safety systems and procedures
• Consult and communicate with our employees, contractors and customers
• Have operational control systems in place
• Are fully prepared to respond to an emergency
• Have performance, measuring, monitoring and improvement systems in place
